This tool automatically categorizes statement spendings into self-defined categories of your choice.
1. Upload one or more csv versions of your boa statements (which are downloadable from the bank of america app).
2. Select the statement version (credit, checking). Make sure to remove sensitive information from any csv files before uploading.
3. Specify the categories you'd like this tool to classify in the "Categories" entry space. You can also do further classification based on needs/wants in the "Budget buckets" entry, but that is totally optional. Default ones are already inputted for ease of use!
4. You may have the option of selecting "use AI" to further categorize spendings in your statement that could not be directly recognized via string parsing — results will highlight those AI categorizations in light green).
5. Sort, wrangle, and copy paste your final table onto spreadsheets, csv, numbers, or your preferred format for further refinement!
